Thomson to complete acquisition of Reuters by April this year

Thomson has revealed that they are now expected to complete their acquisition of rival Reuters by April this year.

The company confirmed that they have now received all required antitrust and regulatory clearances.

The deal is expected to close by April 17.

Thompson added that the shareholders of both companies are going to vote on the deal at meetings on March 26 in London and Toronto.
