Daimler to use lithium-ion technology in automobiles
Market sources say that automaker Daimler is working on a new technology for their hybrid version of its Mercedes-Benz cars.
The company seems to be working on using lithium-ion technology to develop the next generation of batteries for the S 400 BlueHYBRID.
Daimler Board of Management member Thomas Weber spoke about these reports: “What we have here is a groundbreaking key technology that is going to be a decisive factor for the future success of the automotive industry.”
Toyota Motor is another company which has already said that they are preparing to start mass producing lithium-ion batteries for low-emission vehicles.
