Ford Motor to cut 2,500 more jobs
Ford Motor has announced that they are cutting around 2500 more jobs from their operations.
The company is eliminating shifts at four U.S. plants as part of their cost cutting exercise.
Ford said in a statement that they are now going to run their Chicago and Louisville, Kentucky, assembly plants on one shift starting this summer.
They are also cutting a shift at its Cleveland Engine Plant No. 2.
Ford has aimed to attain profitability by next year. The company has been aggressively cutting costs by laying off workers and closing down loss making plants.
