Mitsui to work with Yamaha in India
Mitsui Corporation has announced that they are acquiring a 30% stake in Yamaha India. The deal is worth around Rs 168 crore.
They had acquired a minute stake in the parent company last year.
Yamaha Motor India said that they are now going to operate under a newly-formed company called India Yamaha Motors.
The company is getting fresh funds which would be used to develop and market new products in the Indian market.
The losses of the companies are being absorbed by the parent company as it prepares itself to take on the market leaders Hero Honda, Bajaj and Honda.
