Bangladesh emerging as a growing mobile market

Indian mobile market is growing at a rapid pace. But we are not alone.

Bangladesh has now emerged as another rapidly growing mobile market in the Asian region.

The country saw addition of 2.05 million new subscribers in January.

There are now around 36.4 million mobile customers in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission added in a statement that the number of mobile users in the country rose nearly 58 percent in 2007 to 34.4 million.

Market analysts expect Bangladesh to have close to around 50 million mobile users by the end of next year.
