Expedia enters Indian market
Online travel company Expedia has announced the launch of their Indian operations.
The company has now launched an Indian version of their website which is accepting payments in local currency (Rupees).
The online travel industry has seen a massive boom in the recent times with several players trying to lure customers.
Some of their rival players in the Indian market include Yatra, IndiaTimes Travel, ClearTrip, MakeMyTrip and ezeego1.
Expedia said that their Indian division would now cater to Indian tourists via the Web site or by phone.
