TVS King: India’s first two-stroke 200cc auto rickshaw
TVS Motor Company has entered into the three-wheeler segment by launching the country’s first two-stroke 200cc auto rickshaw.
They have named this new product TVS King. The company said that the King is available in both LPG and petrol versions.
It comes with an electric start and has been priced in the range between Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
TVS further said that a diesel variant of the same would be launched by December this year.
TVS Motor Chairman and Managing Director Venu Srinivasan spoke about TVS King: “Styled on the lines of a car, TVS King will redefine all performance characteristics like initial pickup and power, comfort and convenience, fuel efficiency and safety.”
The company has set itself a target of selling 30,000 vehicles for 2008-09.
