ValueClick to pay $2.9 million fines
ValueClick has revealed that they are going to pay $2.9 million in fines to settle charges related to deceptive practices followed in online advertising.
The company however said that they are not admitting that they violated any laws.
Incidentally, this would be the largest ever fine to be paid for a violation of the federal CAN-SPAM Act.
ValueClick said that the fines are part of their agreement with the FTC on standards for its lead-generation business.
