Delta Air Lines to cut half of its staff through voluntary retirements
Delta Air Lines has announced that they are now going to offer voluntary retirement to 30,000 employees.
This means that the company aims to cut half of their total workforce of around 55,000 employees.
The company is suffering due to rising costs of aviation fuel which is hurting the entire aviation market.
Delta further said that they are also considering cutting 700 management and administration jobs.
They recently revealed their failure to seal a merger with rival Northwest Airlines.
