Qwest Communications to cut jobs as subscriber base is falling
Qwest Communications International has announced that they are now going to cut jobs as they are struggling to stay profitable.
More and more people are going mobile canceling their landline connections.
The company is now offering a “voluntary separation program” to employees. It is expected to affect 2% of the company’s total workforce.
Qwest added in its statement: “Over the years, we have turned first to our natural attrition rate to balance the loss of traditional access lines. This program is part of our continuing effort to match our work force to our work load.”
