Qualcomm still barred from selling some chips in US market
Broadcom has said that the US courts still stops rival Qualcomm from selling some of their chips in the US market which they claim infringe on their patented technologies.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. has now rejected the request made by Qualcomm to lift the ban on their chips.
Qualcomm had asked the courts to resume the sales of the chips while they are in the process of appealing the decision.
Broadcom General Counsel David Dull spoke about the new developments: “We are gratified that the U.S. Court of Appeals rejected Qualcomm’s motion for a stay, leaving in force the injunction against Qualcomm’s infringement issued by the U.S. District Court in Santa Ana.”
