Raghu Menon is the chairman and MD of Air India
Raghu Menon who is currently the special secretary and financial advisor in the civil aviation ministry has now been appointed the chairman and managing director of Air India.
His name was cleared by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
His name dominated a list consisting of as many as 51 individuals.
He would now take over from V Thulasidas who is retiring at the end of the current month.
Some other names which were considered for these positions: Vishwapati Trivedi, Arvind Mayaram and Arvind Jadhav.
