Nokia has already manufactured 125 million mobile handsets in India
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has now said that they have manufactured more than 125 million mobile handsets in their Indian plants.
This feat is pretty impressive considering the company started manufacturing here in India just two years ago.
Nokia has a manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu and they are planning to further expand the production capabilities.
Nokia India Operations Director Sachin Saxena said in a statement: “Our decision to invest in local manufacturing has given us the opportunity to fuel the demand for the domestic and emerging markets while also allowing India to emerge as a global manufacturing hub”.
