Dell shutting down plant based in Austin, Texas
PC manufacturer Dell has announced that they are now going to close down their Austin, Texas desktop computer manufacturing plant.
This would result in massive job cuts in the company. Dell said that they are going to save $3 billion annually over the next three years through this development.
Dell added that they are also now reviewing “ownership alternatives” for its Dell Financial Services business.
The company had earlier said that they were aiming to cut around 8,800 jobs, or about 10 percent of the work force.
