Dell to outsource more to cut costs

US based PC manufacturing giant Dell has said that they are going to outsource more work to cut costs.

The company said that they are going to enter into more service agreements with contract manufacturers.

The aim is to reduce manufacturing and design costs

Mike Cannon, Dell’s president for global operations was quoted as saying: “You’ll see us partner more.”We’ll have more and deeper partnerships with ODMs and EMS companies where they can satisfy the needs of our customers”.

Dell is facing intense competition in the home market USA where they are now the second largest player after Hewlett Packard.
