Maruti Suzuki has just launched the Swift DZiRE model in the Indian market.

The company is now working on the Suzuki’s world car model which would be made at their Gurgaon plant.

This new model is likely to be out in the market before the end of the current year.

Shinzo Nakanishi, managing director of Maruti Suzuki India said in a statement: “The new model will be launched by end-2008. To begin with, we have plans to export 100,000 units of the new model annually to Europe and the rest of the world.”

Nakanishi added: “I believe that Maruti Suzuki is ready to play a much bigger role in Suzuki’s global operations, and my task is to make that happen. Today the company’s manufacturing capability has reached a level where we want to make small cars exclusively in India for exports to the European markets.”
