Carl Icahn gets positions in Motorola Board
Mobile phone maker Motorola has finally accepted to place Carl Icahn representative on its board.
The company said that they are now naming Keith Meister, a managing director of Icahn investment funds, to its board of directors.
His placement is as per their agreement with billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn.
Motorola added that they are also now going to seek input from Icahn on the planned separation of its mobile devices operations.
Icahn has promised in return that he would not solicit proxies at Motorola’s annual meeting. He would also now dismiss litigation against the company.
