IBM acquiring storage software company FilesX

US based tech giant IBM has announced their decision to acquire storage software solutions provider FilesX.

FilesX has offices located in Haifa, Israel, and Newton, Massachusetts. The financial aspects of the deal were not revealed to the media.

IBM said that after the completion of the acquisition, FilesX technologies would become part of their Tivoli Storage Manager Product line.

It would then complement their existing products like Tivoli Continuous Data Protection for Files.

IBM added that they are also going to gain around 100 customers in USA and Israel through this acquisition.
