Symantec confirms that they cut some jobs as part of restructuring

Security software maker Symantec has confirmed in a statement that they did cut some jobs as part of a restructuring exercise.

A company representative said in a statement: “As part of our ongoing focus on managing operational expenses, Symantec has recently implemented some restructuring measures, including a reduction in force. We’re not releasing information on the size or the scope.”

As per a report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission the company is said to have laid off some 570 workers in its fiscal third quarter.
