Toyota India to make big investment for small car
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that they are going to invest Rs 1,400 crore to build its second car plant at Bidadi.
This new plant is likely to manufacture the much awaited small car from the Japanese automaker.
The company said that this new plant would be operational by 2010. It would initially produce around 100,000 vehicles per year.
Toyota currently has on offer several models in the Indian market including the world car Toyota Corolla.
K K Swamy, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota India spoke about the new developments: “The R&D of this new small car is presently underway at our headquarters in Japan.”
