Motorola invests in VirtualLogix
Market sources say that mobile phone maker Motorola has now invested in the VirtualLogix.
VirtualLogix specializes in developing mobile virtualization solutions.
An official announcement is likely to come out today.
Motorola would join other high profile investors in the company including Intel, Cisco and Texas Instruments.
VirtualLogix technology would enable mobile phone makers to run multiple operating systems on mobile devices.
The company said that this solution could help companies offer much more functionalities to the end user. The basic functions of the phone could be controlled by a base closed base operating system while new features can be added through an open platform which runs on it.
