BMW aims to sell 2,000 cars in India this year
German maker of luxury cars BMW has revealed that they are aiming to sell as many as 2000 cars in the Indian market this year.
They are already the largest luxury automakers in the world and they are now aiming to become the largest luxury car seller in India.
The company has already enhanced their manufacturing capacity in the region and is working on expanding their dealer network.
BMW’s India unit president, Peter Kronschnabl said in a statement: “We aim to deliver 2,000 vehicles to our customers in India in the year 2008.”
Their rivals in the Indian market include Mercedes Benz and Audi. Volvo is also becoming a minority player in this segment of the market.
