NewsX launches their news website newsx.com

Recently launched news channel in India NewsX has now launched their website featuring web 2.0 features.

NewsX COO Vynsley Fernandes said in a statement that the site is designed to provide extensive customization features to the web users.

He said: “What we mean by ’self-customized’ is that the user can chose his or her own news. This is the first ever news website powered by an open source customer management system.”

They are sourcing news from their own channel in addition to news wire agencies such as AP, AFP and PTI.

It is powered by Drupal open source content management system.

We had say that since they are using a popular and easily available CMS system for their website, they would have to stay updated with the latest patches or it would become an easy target for the hackers.
