Indian Hotels Company expecting more business from abroad

The Indian Hotels Company Ltd which operates the famed Taj brand of hotels has said in a statement that they are expecting the business from abroad to form a big part of their revenue figures in the next five years.

The company is aiming at achieving at least a third of their entire business from abroad. For this, they are expanding their operations in the East Asian market, which has tremendous potential for growth for the company.

Mr. Raymond N Bickson, MD, Indian Hotels said in a statement on their plans: “We expect bigger revenues from international operations and expect to be one third of the total revenue in the next five years.”

He added that India Hotels Company is looking at expanding in the East Asian market through contract management or picking up equities. Bickson added: “We will be looking at expansion, through contract management or picking up equity, in locations such as China, Singapore Thailand, Hong Kong, and Fiji as we believe Asia is the region of the future.”
