Ford announces a recall for Volvo V70 and XC70 cars models
US based automaker Ford has announced that they are now recalling 65,000 Volvo V70 and XC70 cars.
The company would be adjusting settings in the software that controls the release of side-impact air bags.
Volvo Cars spokeswoman Maria Bohlin added in a statement that the recall mostly affects their 2008 models in the European markets.
She added: “We will fine-tune the software that triggers the release of the inflatable curtain. Now we will send letters to all the owners of the affected cars and tell them to take the car to a mechanic to get this upgrade.”
