China Commercial Aircraft to take on Airbus and Boeing
Airbus and Boeing are no longer the only two companies which are manufacturing commercial planes.
China has announced the establishment of China Commercial Aircraft which would develop regional aircrafts capable of carrying more than 150 passengers.
The company has received $2.7 billion in initial funding. It is supported by both state and regional governments.
Jin Zhuanglong, Commercial Aircraft’s general manager was quoted as saying on this project: “According to the history of Airbus and Boeing, the development and success of civil planes cannot be realized by relying on one or two generations.”
Airbus and Boeing however have a long time before this company becomes a potent challenger to their business operations.
