Fitness First comes to India

Global fitness chain Fitness First has entered the Indian market with the first center located in the city of Gurgaon.

They are now scheduled to open their second club in Delhi later this month.

Mumbai and Bangalore are also scheduled to get their own Fitness First clubs.

Vikram Aditya Bhatia, managing director of Fitness First India Private said in a statement that all of these clubs would be spread over a large area. They are spending around 12-16 crores on each of these centers.

He added: “We want to provide fitness where you live, where you work and where you transit. Our USP is scale, comfort and service. What we will give is five-star fitness at affordable prices.”

The monthly membership is going to cost just around Rs. 2600 plus taxes. This would give the user access to all of their centers in the country. Sounds like a fair deal!
