Hewlett Packard closing in on a deal with Electronic Data Systems
Market sources say that US based PC maker Hewlett Packard is closing in on a deal to acquire information technology services provider Electronic Data Systems.
This deal could be worth between USD 12-13 billion.
Wall Street Journal said in a news report that an official announcement can come as soon as today.
HP and EDS have declined to comment on these latest reports in the media for a possible acquisition deal.
This acquisition would help HP compete effectively against IBM which has been boosting their services and products through similar acquisitions.
