Honda Civic Hybrid coming to India
Honda India is all set to start offering the hybrid edition of their Honda Civic model in the Indian market.
That would make this car the first hybrid car to be offered on sale here in India.
The car would run on petrol and electricity. It would be imported and as a result would attract an import duty of 114%.
Honda said that they have yet not decided on the pricing of this new model though it would be much more expensive compared to the regular Honda Civic edition.
The company said that the hybrid edition is 60 % more fuel efficient compared to regular Civic.
Honda is also working on launching a new compact car in India which would be based on their Jazz. It should be here within the next two years.
