Vodafone acquires ZYB social network for about $50 million
Mobile service provider Vodafone has announced that they are acquiring the mobile social networking service ZYB for around USD 50 million.
Vodafone said that after the acquisition their services would be integrated into their own Internet Services Division.
ZYB provides social networking and online management tools for mobile users. The service enables the mobile users to easily share their contact and calendar information online.
Vodafone Group’s Internet Services Director Pieter Knook spoke about this new development: “This acquisition is consistent with our strategy of delivering products and services which meet our customers’ total communication needs.”
