Napster performing better as revenues are up 6%
Napster Inc. has come out with their latest revenue report and the company has posted improved revenue figures.
The company said that its losses are down in the recent quarter as they saw higher sales and added more subscribers.
Napster has just launched their new digital media store that sells DRM free MP3 music. The company claims that it is the largest of its kind with as many as 6 million tracks on sale.
Napster has posted a loss of $4.3 million, or 10 cents per share for the first three months of the year.
The revenues were up during this time to $30.8 million from $29.1 million.
The company added that they ended the quarter with around 760,000 paid subscribers worldwide.
With the launch of the MP3 store, they are expecting to perform much better during the current quarter.
