Samsung announces reorganization plans
South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced that they are now reorganizing their business operations.
As part of this development, the company would now merge its home theater, DVD and Blu-ray player businesses with its television division.
They are also planning to move their digital music player, laptop computer and set-top box businesses to this division. These are currently part of their digital media business operations.
Samsung added on these new developments: “By bringing its computing and mobile technology together, the company hopes to create new markets and take the lead in the rapidly changing industry.”
Samsung has also named Lee Yoon-woo as their new chief executive officer and vice chairman.
