Nikkei: Sony develops cheaper Solar Battery
Nikkei newspaper has reported without revealing its sources that Sony has now developed a new type of Solar Battery which does not use silicon.
This would make these solar batteries much cheaper compared to current generation of products.
The report said that the company is yet not sure how they would commercialize this new generation of solar batteries.
It further stated that the battery’s sensitized solar cells have an energy-conversion efficiency of 10 percent.
