Honda to enhance small car production to meet US demand

Japanese automaker Honda has said that they are going to increase the production of their small cars in the US market to meet the growing demand.

The company said that they are going to shift production of two bigger models from Canada to Alabama to maintain the jobs in this market.

Honda Pilot and Honda Ridgeline would now be manufactured in their Alabama plant as the Canadian plant would focus on their Civic sedan.

Honda Chief Executive Takeo Fukui added in his statement: “Gas prices continue to rise and the demand for cars with good mileage is growing. Efforts are under way to increase the local production of the Civic.”
