China Telecom likely to acquire China Unicom’s CDMA business
South China Morning Post has reported in a news item that China Telecommunications Group is going to announce today their acquisition of China Unicom Group’s CDMA business.
This deal could be worth over 100 billion Yuan.
This acquisition deal would include China United Telecommunications Group.
This report comes just days after the Chinese government announced the restructuring of the telecom business in the country.
China Unicom is also expected to announce their merger with China Netcom Group sometime in the near future.
