Ford sales went down 16% in May
US based automaker Ford has revealed that their sales in the month of May were down 16% compared to the same period last year.
Ford managed to sell 217,998 vehicles as demands for their trucks is dropping down.
Auto buyers in the US market are increasingly going for fuel efficient small cars instead of big trucks which consume too much fuel.
Jim Farley, Ford group vice president of marketing and communications spoke about their performance: “Our products and our dealers are getting us back in the car business. Our small and mid-size cars are outperforming the industry, and we’re only just beginning.”
Ford suffered due to massive drops in sales of sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks and vans.
