Verizon Communications rumored to be interested in Alltel
CNBC has reported in a news item that US based telecom giant Verizon Communications is interested in acquiring Alltel.
Alltel specializes in providing telecom services in rural regions in the US market.
The report said that Verizon would be paying close to around eight times the Alltel’s EBITDA.
Neither of the companies has confirmed this market rumor till now.
The value of the deal could hover around USD 27 billion.
