Intel fined in South Korea for violating fair trade rules
Korea Fair Trade Commission has fined the microprocessor industry giant Intel for violating the fair trade rules.
The US based company has been told to pay fines of $25.4 million.
The commission said that the company gave away discounts to computer makers in the country to undercut rivals including AMD.
Intel has denied these charges and said in a statement: “We’re disappointed and we completely disagree with the findings.”
This ruling was given out after two years of investigations.
Intel partners have said that the discounts given to them were for joint marketing.
