Carl Icahn asks Yahoo to offer itself to Microsoft!
Investor Carl Icahn has asked Yahoo to put an offer to Microsoft for an acquisition deal.
He said that the company should make an offer for $49.5 billion.
This is around USD 2 billion higher than the last offer Microsoft made to Yahoo.
Analysts say that this is the first time Icahn has clearly spoken about the figure he has in mind for Yahoo.
Yahoo’s annual meeting is scheduled for August and if they do not take appropriate steps, Icahn would try to replace the company board with his own panel.
Icahn has already said that he wants to replace Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang from the CEO position in the company.
