Tata Motors likely to hire more at Jaguar
Jim Cunningham, the representative of Coventry South in UK said in a statement that he has been assured by Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata that the company would not cut any jobs at Jaguar’s research base in the northern British towns of Whitley and Gaydon.
The company instead has plans to hire more people to work at the research department.
Incidentally, the worker’s union groups have already declared that they are happy with the promises made by the new owners of Jaguar brand.
Cunningham added: “Mr. Tata confirmed that there were no plans to move any of the UK plants and that no redundancies were planned. Instead, they will be increasing the workforce in the research areas. They’re going to keep Whitley and going to keep Gaydon. They are very impressed by the skills at Whitley.”
