Starbucks to expand in Europe with 150 new stores
Starbucks Corp is set to launch more stores in the European market for expansion.
Wall street journal reported that the company is planning to set up 150 new locations in the United Kingdom, France and Germany over the next three years.
These new stores would be established at airports and railway stations.
Looks like the company now hopes to overcome the slump in the domestic market by growing internationally.
Starbucks Chairman and Chief Executive Howard Schultz was quoted as saying: “These three countries are just the beginning of what I think is a broader opportunity. In the past, we had not been as aggressive because the resources of the company and the focus primarily been on the U.S. business.”
