IBS Software Services acquires US-based Discovery Travel Systems
Yet another Indian company has acquired a US based company. The latest is the case of India’s IBS Software Services, which has announced their plans to acquire the US-based Discovery Travel Systems.
IBS Software Services is a software developing company focused on the travel and tourism industry. Discovery Travel Systems on the other hand is a leading solutions provider to the travel marketplace.
IBS Software Services Chairman and Managing Director V K Mathews said in a statement: “This acquisition is the second in recent times by IBS is in line with its strategy for inorganic growth through mergers and acquisitions.”
He added: “DTS business operations in the leisure travel domain will complement our business relationships with airlines, travel agencies, hotel chains, car rental agencies and augment the company’s strengths in areas like airline reservation and check-in.”
