Facebook’s Matt Cohler to join Benchmark Capital

Venture Capital Firm Benchmark Capital announced that Facebook’s executive Matt Cohler would be joining the company as a general partner.

Cohler was one of the first employees at Facebook and has played a major role in the company.

He is currently working as the vice president of product management at Facebook.

He said in a statement on his new job: “If you look at the things that I’ve done and what I’m passionate about, you could basically describe the job as being a venture capitalist. So this is a natural evolution for me.”

He would continue to serve as special adviser to Mark Zuckerberg after joining the venture capital firm.
