Walt Disney sells Movies.com to Fandango

Fandango has announced that they have acquired to domain Movies.com from Walt Disney.

The financial terms of the deal have not been revealed to the media.

Fandango is owned by Comcast and it specializes in selling movie tickets and other entertainment services.

The company said that they would now handle the movie ticketing functions for Movies.com.

Incidentally both of these services were launched in 2000. Fandango and Movies.com would now both function as part of the Comcast Interactive Media.
