Microsoft acquiring MobiComp
Software giant Microsoft has announced that they are now acquiring MobiComp.
MobiComp specializes in developing mobile applications. One of their popular applications is for the Facebook social network.
Microsoft is hoping to expand their mobile offerings through this acquisition.
The company said that they aim to develop new mobile data protection and sharing services through this new subsidiary.
The two companies did not reveal the financial aspects of this transaction.
Microsoft happens to be a minority stakeholder in Facebook.
