MetroPCS Communications to allow devices from other networks
MetroPCS Communications has announced that they would allow customers to use mobile devices they use on other networks.
The company would reprogram the phones for use on their own network.
With this MetroPCS has become the largest US based telecom operator to allow third party devices.
This new offer would allow customers of rival services Sprint Nextel Corp., Verizon Wireless, Alltel Corp. to join their network without purchasing a new device.
Their network is not compatible with AT&T Inc., T-Mobile USA so these devices won’t work.
