Air travel to become even costlier in India
Looks like the time of cheap air travel is soon going to become history in India.
Rising fuel prices mean that airline companies can no longer afford to give out cheap tickets for air travel.
A market source said: “ATF hike will not only necessitate us to increase passenger ticket fares but also airfreight that we are carrying in our belly space. Airfreight rates will also go up by 15 to 20% as our operating cost are heading north with high oil prices.”
Blue Dart Express has already announced their decision to hike prices of their air and ground services due to the rising oil prices.
