State Bank of India set to launch mobile banking services
State Bank of India has announced that they are going to launch as many as 101 branches running core banking solution tomorrow.
The company is also scheduled to launch their mobile banking services from tomorrow.
With this, they would become the first government bank to start mobile banking services.
SBI already has around 10,100 of its 10,385 branches providing CBS services.
SBI would be using technologies provided by Spanco Telesystems for its M-banking application.
Spanco Telesystems vice president (technology) Kamal Maheshwari spoke about their collaboration with SBI: “Looking at the huge and diverse customer base of SBI, we have developed a solution which will work across mobile operators and support various methods of communication.”
