Toyota suffering due to supply problems
Toyota is suffering from a totally different problem compared to US based automakers like GM and Ford.
Some of their models are so popular in the market that they are failing to meet the growing demand.
As a result, the company is unable to sell as many cars as they can. In fact, this inventory problem resulted in an 11.5 percent drop in US sales for the month of June.
Honda on the other hand is doing well as their sales were up 13.8 percent. Honda is seeing massive demand for their popular models like Fit and Civic.
Toyota said that they expect supplies to improve in the coming months. They are also working on adding capacity at its hybrid battery manufacturing plant in Japan.
