SK Telecom interested in acquiring Sprint Nextel
Market sources claim that South Korea’s SK Telecom in interested in acquiring US based mobile service provider Sprint Nextel.
The rumors led to an increase in the price of Sprint’s share at the stock market.
Sprint Nextel is the third largest mobile service provider in the US market.
If the deal takes place, it would be the biggest takeover by a South Korean company of a U.S. company.
Sprint has been struggling to remain competitive in the market ever since they acquired Nextel some years ago.
The two companies have not commented on these rumors in the market.
